On 19 and 20 February 2025, the first World Youth Forum of Associations and Clubs for Unesco was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
This event brought together young representatives from all over the world to discuss and promote Unesco values in the fields of education, culture, science and communication.
A key outcome of the forum was the adoption of the “Youth Roadmap for Associations and Clubs for Unesco for 2025-2030: Building a sustainable future together”. This strategic document will define the guidelines for the development of the movement, which counts more than 5,000 organisations in 94 countries.
The aim is to strengthen the role of young people in promoting peace, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue.
During the forum, participants shared experiences and projects, and worked together to outline common strategies to global challenges.
The meeting was a unique opportunity for young people to actively contribute to Unesco mission and to consolidate international cooperation among the younger generations.
