As always, the youngest are the stars of #Giffoni53, an international film festival for children, the result of an idea by Claudio Gubitosi, which will take place in Giffoni Valle Piana, Salerno province, from 20 to 29 July. Ten days of previews, meetings, workshops and a number of other initiatives to be attended by prominent guests and institutional representatives.

This year's festival is dedicated to the topic Indispensable, an adjective that encapsulates the festival's most important message: children and their ideas, their dreams, as well as the hopes and needs of the new generations, are indispensable.

The festival will be attended by 6,500 young people from 30 nations; 99 films will be competing, exploring various topics, such as finding out about others, breaking down barriers, transitioning to adulthood, the parent-child relationship, and climate change.
