This report, relating to the year 2017, gives an overview of the activities carried out by the public administrations in the field of prevention, assistance, and protection of children from sexual exploitation and abuse, pursuant to Law No. 269 of 3rd August 1998.

Prepared by the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Report aims to return a description and an analysis of the phenomenon, through the reading of the data provided by the different realities involved and the detailed description of the actions carried out in the period between January and December 2017, at a national and an international level, by institutional and non-institutional actors, for the prevention and contrast of the phenomenon of sexual abuse and exploitation in our country, bringing the initiatives undertaken in the sector in question to the attention of Parliament with the aim of offering a detailed overview of the interventions implemented.
