Rights implemented - Second report to the UN on childhood and adolescence in Italy

The second report to the United Nations presented by the Italian Government on the application in Italy of the Convention on the Rights of the Child emphasises that improving the lives of children and supporting their right to citizenship means not only drafting innovative laws but also equipping them with adequate tools for their application, linking them with administrative practice that is attentive to the needs of those undergoing training, mobilising institutional resources and those of the private social sector, and facilitating their participation in community life. From this perspective, a general overview of the condition of children in our country is presented, identifying the actions and policies adopted and the problems that still exist in the implementation of the Convention.
