The new 2025-2027 National Family Plan, approved by the National Observatory of the Family on 9 December 2024, is online on the website of the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The Unified Conference sanctioned the agreement at its meeting on 20 March 2025.

The main objective of the document is to adopt a plural approach to family welfare and to promote the principle of subsidiarity, by listening to the needs of families and building on the successful initiatives that have already been launched.

The publication, introduced by a foreword from the Minister for Family, Birth Rate, and Equal Opportunities, Eugenia Roccella, is divided into four chapters: the first two present, respectively, the relevant regulatory framework and the development process of the Plan; the third provides an introduction to a reasoned reading of the document, outlining its method, principles, tools, and stakeholders; and the fourth outlines the actions of the Plan.
