A practical and concrete tool aimed at parents and other key adults to address bullying and cyberbullying, phenomena that are on the rise and have serious consequences for the health and lives of young people. Rompere il silenzio, vincere la paura (Breaking the Silence, Overcoming Fear) is the title of the guide produced by the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with the support of the Istituto degli Innocenti. It provides useful guidance on recognising signs of distress, understanding risky situations, and intervening in a timely and informed manner.
The publication also explains the main updates introduced by Decree Law no. 123 of 15 September 2023 (the Caivano Decree) to protect minors in the digital environment, and updates its content according to the most recent legislation on the prevention of and fight against bullying and cyberbullying.
