The aim of the Manifesto delle Nuove Generazioni Italiane 2025 (2025 Manifesto of the New Italian Generations), which will be presented on 13 December in Rome, is to be a reference tool to promote social inclusion and raise awareness about the challenges and opportunities of young people with a migration background.
The document was produced by CoNNGI (Coordinamento Nazionale Nuove Generazioni Italiane - National Coordination Centre for the New Italian Generations), the social promotion Association formed by young people with a migration background that was founded in 2017 with the aim of representing all new Italian generations in a unified manner.
In addition to the topics covered in previous editions of the Manifesto (school, work, culture, sport, participation, citizenship, communication, international cooperation and the environment), updated with new data and experiences, this new edition presents some novelties, including a chapter dedicated to the role of young women with migrant backgrounds - who face multiple discrimination, both by gender and origin - and a focus on the mental health of the new generations, often overlooded but of crucial importance.
The programme can be consulted on the website of the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
Other materials and news can be found on this site under the topic, Immigrant children and Social integration and socialization accessible from the "Topics" navigation menu.
