In our country, four out of ten children who take part in sport are victims of violence in the sporting context.
Children and young people suffer psychological violence (30%), physical violence (19%), neglect (15%) and sexual violence (14%).
These are some of the data of the Athlete Culture & Climate Survey, devised by the association ChangetheGame and conducted by the research company Nielsen with the support of the Department for Sport of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the backing of Terre des Hommes and others.
The research found that boys experienced higher levels of violence and abuse than girls, in particular, physical and sexual violence.
The survey material is available on the ChangetheGame website, on the dedicated page.
