The 12th Update Report on the monitoring of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Italy, produced by the hundred associations of the Group with the coordination of Arianna Saulini, of Save the Children, is online on the CRC Group website.

The document takes into account the events of the past two years - the Covid-19 pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine - which have brought us face to face with new scenarios and hardships, with an enormous impact on present and future generations. "Families, School, Services – the foreword reads – are experiencing a fatigue that highlights the need for support and investment that can no longer be postponed. Child poverty and climate change are phenomena that the CRC Group continues to monitor with deepening concern given the available data that show that the measures taken so far are not sufficient and have not generated the hoped-for impact".

The report, available in the "Publications" section of the CRC Group's website, is as always divided into chapters that reflect the subject categories of the articles of the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. At the beginning of each paragraph there is a reference to Sustainable Development Goals, "in order to give an up-to-date reading of the rights of children and adolescents and to emphasise the intertwined relationship between the inclusive, equitable and sustainable development promoted by the 2030 Agenda and the fulfilment of children's rights".

The various chapters of the publication look in depth at many topics, including: resources for children and adolescents; child poverty; participation of the new generations; violence against children and adolescents; health, disability and basic services; early school leaving; protection and welcome for unaccompanied migrant children.
