The Italian Ministry of Education and Merit and the Ministry of the Interior have signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding to promote initiatives in schools aimed at disseminating the values of legality and respect for rules, civil participation, and sharing the principles contained in the Italian Constitution.

The initiatives mentioned in the agreement include, for example, the development of educational projects and awareness-raising campaigns, but also the organisation of training and in-depth discussion days on various aspects concerning legality, dialogue between cultures and participation.

The Memorandum of Understanding also stipulates the establishment of a joint committee, consisting of two representatives from each Ministry, and coordinated by a representative of the Ministry of Education and Merit. The committee's task is to identify and promote, every six months, the steps and modalities for implementing the agreement, and to monitor its results.
