The Italian Thesaurus on Childhood and Adolescence (Th.I.A.)  includes in a verified vocabulary all the terms used in the subject-matter of every type of document acquired by the Centre (bibliographic, legal, statistical and filmographic). The thematic approach is inspired by a grid of topics elaborated by Alfredo Carlo Moro, former president of the National Centre. The Thesaurus has an interdisciplinary approach and is structured in seven thematic areas: Culture, Education, Childhood and Adolescence, Institutions, Psychological Processes, Health, Society and is composed of an alphabetical and a hierarchical part.
