The Alfredo Carlo Moro Innocenti Library was founded in 2001 with a cooperation project between the Istituto degli Innocenti and the International child development centre of UNICEF (now the Innocenti – Global Office of Research and Foresight), in agreement with the Italian Government and the Region of Tuscany.
The Library provides the following services:
- Orientation and Reference: on request, personalised research (bibliographies, filmographies, sitographies, normative research) is carried out; the service is also carried out remotely through the Ask the Librarian form.
- On-site and remote consultation: on-site consultation is free for all materials owned; for the digital collection (e-books and electronic magazines), consultation can also take place remotely upon written request for access credentials.
- Head office and interlibrary loan: free of charge within the networks present in the Region of Tuscany
- Photocopies of documents (according to the limits allowed by law): paid service; requests can also be made through the Document delivery form
- Bulletin of New Entries
- Monthly Newsletter
- Bibliographies and virtual reference desk realized during conferences and training courses
Inside the Library there is also the Consultation Room of the Archive of the Istituto degli Innocenti
