Planning, designing and managing for quality in the integrated system

The Handbook of Early Childhood Education Services, now in its third edition, is the result of the efforts of a multi-professional technical group, set up at Istituto degli Innocenti in Florence, and draws much inspiration from the work carried out in the interregional contexts of meetings and proactive reflection that took place as part of the monitoring activities of early childhood education services promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department for Family Policies and carried out with the collaboration of Istituto degli Innocenti.

The navigable format, which makes it a flexible tool that can be adapted to the specific needs of its users, the ease of consultation, the possibility of using it to calibrate the design task in the specific contexts in which it operates, are intended to encourage its fruitful and productive use, in the hope that its concrete use will guide its updating and improvement over time.
