The family is a fundamental institution that has been radically transformed, especially since the entry into force of the 1948 Republican Constitution and the reforms that have followed over time in order to give concrete expression to the fundamental values and principles enshrined in the Constitution and in the international and supranational system of which the Italian legal system is an integral part.
