During its 86th session, the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child adopted its General Comment no. 25 on the rights of children in relation to the digital environment.
This General Comment addresses the issue of the rights of children under the age of 18 years in the digital environment.
It is a constantly evolving and expanding environment and comprises information and communication technologies, including digital networks, content, services and applications, connected devices and environments, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, automated systems, algorithms and data analysis, etc. Children's rights must also be respected, protected and implemented within this environment...
