2016-2017

Fourth National Action Plan for Children and Adolescents, approved by the Council of Ministers on 10 August 2016, after the green light of the National Observatory for childhood and adolescence, was adopted on 31 August 2016 by decree of the President of the Republic.

The provision defines the panorama of the interventions that Italy intends to implement in the next two years to implement the contents of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1989 and is divided into four areas of intervention:

1. lines of action to contrast the poverty of children and families;
2. early childhood socio-educational services and quality of the school system;
3. strategies and interventions for school and social integration;
4. parenting support, integrated service system and child-care system.
