The conference will be an opportunity to present the results of the Re-Integrando (Re-Integrating) project and outline the next steps for development and intervention.

The project has been drafted by the Department for Juvenile and Community Justice of the Italian Ministry of Justice together with the Coordinamento nazionale comunità di accoglienza (Cnca, the Italian Coordination Centre of Shelters) and other partners. The general objective of the project is to develop and strengthen actions and educational projects addressed to foreign children and young adults, whether accompanied or not, who are involved with the juvenile justice system, in the internal and external penal area. Re-Integrando also aims to create opportunities for social integration and individual empowerment, and to prepare for exiting the penal system through alternative pathways to detention.
