Investing in early childhood: thematic path

Investing in early childhood is the theme of the online supplement to Rassegna bibliografica 2/2014. Daniela Del Boca, Professor of Economics at the University of Turin and Ylenia Brilli, Researcher at the European University Institute, address the issue based on a review of the existing literature (especially international) regarding public and private investments in early childhood and on the effects of such investments on children's development. A specific in-depth analysis of existing studies is devoted to childhood policies in Italy.

The filmographic journey, curated by Marco Della Gassa, proposes a selection of films and "observation documentaries" on early childhood with the aim of stimulating reflection on the need to "record the distance" and the diversity of the child’s universe compared to the adult world and in terms of the evolution of people's growth processes.
