The right to health as a priority for the present and the future: a legal framework
April 7 marks World Health Day, an annual international event that is celebrated to draw attention to a topic of concern to people all over the world: achieving the best possible level of well-being by the entire world population. The specific topic concerns the very definition of health, which is to be understood not only as the absence of illness but as both physical and mental well-being.
World Health Day is closely associated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and, considering the previous two years of the global Covid-19 pandemic, once again merits extensive attention and support. The purpose of the event is to share information and analysis and to raise public awareness on the issue so that a higher standard of health for all human beings can be achieved in a collective way, globally.
