The 12th edition of Libriamoci. Reading Days in Schools will kick off on 16 February. This is a national campaign promoted by the Ministry of Culture's Centre for Books and Reading (Cepell) whose aim is to help younger generations discover the pleasure of reading and its engaging power when read aloud and shared as a collective experience. Libriamoci, scheduled to run until 21 February, invites schools of all levels in Italy and abroad to design and organise read-aloud initiatives, both in person and online, to encourage young people to read.

The 2026 edition focuses on the theme Ogni libro è una creatura viva (Every Book Is a Living Creature), developed through three thematic strands - Singing Beauty, Creatures on a Journey, and Creatures in Our Time - designed to inspire teachers and readers when creating their activities.
