The Department for Family Policies has announced the beginning of the work to define the National Plan for Preventing and Combating Bullying and Cyberbullying. This plan aims to strengthen protection measures for minors involved in bullying and cyberbullying, both as victims and perpetrators.

On 25 February 2025, the first meeting of the technical group, chaired by the Head of the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, took place in Rome at the Ministry of Education and Merit.

The plan includes specific educational and training initiatives aimed at promoting responsible use of digital technologies among young people and raising public awareness on the consequences of bullying and cyberbullying.

Various institutional and social actors will be involved in drawing up the plan in order to develop shared strategies and targeted actions to effectively prevent and combat these phenomena.

The aim is to create a safe and inclusive environment for all children, guaranteeing their right to grow and educate themselves without being subjected to abuse or discrimination.

The tasks of the technical group include drafting an Integrated Action Plan that defines priority actions and effective measures to prevent, combat and monitor these phenomena: working groups will soon be set up to work on the main themes that emerged during the general discussion with a view to drawing up the Plan.
