Department for Family Policies, New Campaign Against Cyberbullying [1]

Cyberbullying is increasingly prevalent among young people, in different forms and with risks that are often still underestimated. To combat it, the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers has launched a new institutional communication campaign that aims to raise awareness among parents, families and adults on the issue. The campaign seeks to inform them about the consequences of cyberbullying - affecting adolescents and pre-adolescents, both as victims and as witnesses or perpetrators of cyberbullying - and to highlight the tools available to protect and safeguard minors involved in such incidents.
Actor Giorgio Pasotti has lent his face and voice to the initiative, participating in the campaign as a spokesperson.
Contro il cyberbullismo insieme (Together Against Cyberbullying) is the slogan of the campaign, now in its fifth edition and created by the Department for Family Policies with the technical and scientific support of the Istituto degli Innocenti. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the issue among families and provide useful tools to combat such a complex problem.
In fact, the final call to action of the commercial refers to the Guide for parents and supporting adults ”Luci e ombre di una generazione interconnessa. [5]Cyberbullismo: impara a conoscerlo” (Lights and Shadows of an Interconnected Generation. Cyberbullying: Learn About It) [5], drafted by the Department with the support of the Istituto degli Innocenti.
The presentation of the campaign and related commercial [6] can be seen on the Department's website.
