The national event for schools promoted by the Ministry of Education and Merit on the 2024 Safer Internet Day will take place in Rome at Ambra Jovinelli Theatre, via Guglielmo Pepe 45, from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.. The event will see the participation of the Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara.

As always, the purpose of the meeting - to be attended by institutional representatives, experts and representatives of associations and other organisations - will be to discuss the risks and opportunities of the Net with the representatives of the school community themselves, students and teachers, together with public and private stakeholders.

The focus of this edition is artificial intelligence analysed, starting from its applications and implications in terms of opportunities and risks, across the following five areas: grooming, privacy and image rights; metaverse; special educational needs and applied technologies; artificial intelligence and the professions of the future; gaming. The meeting will be broadcast live on the Ministry's YouTube channel and at www.generazioniconnesse.it, giving all schools the opportunity to attend remotely.
