Biblioteca Innocenti Library [1]
The Biblioteca Innocenti Library Alfredo Carlo Moro is an international library specializing in the rights of children and adolescents. It was created in 2001 following a collaboration project between the Istituto degli Innocenti of Florence and the UNICEF Office of Research [2], in agreement with the Italian Government.
The Library also acts as the access and reference service of the National Centre and of the Documentation Centre for Childhood and Adolescence [3] of the Region of Tuscany.
In 2009 the Library was named after Alfredo Carlo Moro, a scholar, juvenile judge and former chairperson of the National Centre, who played a key role in the establishment of children’s rights in Italy and in the creation of the Library.
