The peculiarity of this report on the state of implementation of Law no. 149/2001 is that it was drawn up thanks to the contribution of multiple institutions: the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Ministry of Justice, the juvenile courts, the Regions and the experts of the National Documentation and Analysis Centre for Childhood and Adolescence.

This type of networking creates a lot of opportunities and it makes it possible to more closely assess the impact produced by legislation on the juvenile courts, social services, families, children and adolescents.

This comprehensive study clearly shows the many strengths, but also the various problems which have come to light following the legislative changes. Finally, the study shows the many opportunities for a more and more effective protection of children.
